麻州大学安默斯特（University of Massachusetts - Amherst）为美国东北部著名的公立大学之一，前身为麻州农学院，成立于1863年；最初以现代农业、科学、科技和文学起家；现在拥有十所学院，956位教授及讲师，将近23,200位学生，90种学士学位、68个不同领域的硕士学位及50个领域的博士学位。 该校资金来自联邦政府、私人企业、个人及基金会等。

入学要求：
本科入学条件：TOEFL：550分以上（如未达到550分需要参加SAT2ELAP考试），学生必须提供SAT1成绩（VERBAL不底于400分）

研究生入学条件：TOEFL：550分以上，需要提供GRE 和GMAT成绩（根据专业不同要求有区别）
